MISSOULA GUIDED FLY FISHING

My Story
Hello, thank you for visiting the website. I was born in Missoula, Montana and spent my youth fishing, skiing, playing hockey, and exploring western Montana. When I graduated from Hellgate High, I took a job marking timber with the Forest Service in Salmon, Id. After getting my foot in the door with the USFS, I got my first wildland firefighting job in Seeley Lake, Mt. I spent 8 years as a wildland firefighter on the Lolo National Forest, including a season on the Lolo Hotshots. This time in the woods was hard work and I spent most of my time daydreaming of being on the water. While attending U of M, I played two seasons of club hockey then decided to start coaching youth hockey. I have coached eight teams over the years and have won four state championships, most recently the 2023 Mt Varsity state championship. My love of skiing took me to Alta, Utah in the winter of 2012. I spent 7 winters in Alta and skied a lot of powder. I decided to try my luck as a guide in the spring of 13' and haven't looked back. I started Missoula Guided Fly Fishing after guiding 10 seasons. I love dry fly fishing and I'm good at coaching it. I look forward to fishing with you or setting you up with a talented guide to make your trip memorable.
